Based on what I've seen, I dont find the autosomal results to be that informative. They only match you to two populations you are 'most similar to'. Does not mean you have ancestry from those two populations either. They dont' tell you what % of your Med is found where: Southern Europe, Arabia, North Africa etc. Their southwest Asian seems mysterious and appears to be a combination of South Asia, plus some West Asian. The say it peaks in India. The other Southwest Asian component I had ever seen peaked in Arabia. So this one is differnt and even Germans and Greeks have exactly the same amount/percentage. Geno 2.0 Mediterranea really covers a huge area of the world and is found among Arabs in great percentage, as well as southern Europeans. I guess their Native American and SSA would be less ambiguous.

They do give a detailed description of your haplogroups, but I already have that information, including the FMS by FTDNA. So I guess that, when my results come in, there wont much that is new. Since I already have done deep clade test, FMS, Family Finder etc. I don't even think I will be allowed to transfer any results to FTDNA. Will I? I just don't see the pupose of transfering it.

Interesting that the Geno 2.0 is finding Mediterranean among Arabs in great percentages. Like people getting the Middle Eastern results with Southern European ancestry at FTDNA.

When I looked at CeCe's blog about the different components for each it seemed that some of the European ones had similar percentages of Southwest Asian.

except the Y, which is enclosed here. There are too many to enclose but for the beginning SNP it provides a small explanation and then a page per SNP until the last one, in my case L21 is listed.

yess on the whole I think I will be disapointed but what to expect from a $200 test which includes mtdna, y chromosome as well as autosomal, sureley it won't allow many things but I keep hope because they will be hopefully transferable to other websites (the snp seems good for the y)

I received my geno2 kit Monday, and the lab got it today. Hopefully I'll get the results back by the end of January.

I'm at day 18 now still stuck at 60%. Anyone else experiencing a really long wait? It's getting a bit frustrating as the website says this stage is only supposed to take 6-10 days. Of course I know they're busy, but I wish I had a more realistic timeline to go by.

Your blessed it took me 20 days at that stage.

Well they just sent me another e-mail telling me that my DNA is now being analyzed... now I'm wondering if this means I'm going to be waiting another two weeks. I hope nothing's wrong with my sample.

yeah well they say 6 to 8 weeks for the whole process but I'm ok to wait for longer to have reliable results (ie not the greek german please lol)

Yeah, there is definately a glitch - close but no cigar, they will get it worked out. In the mean time you will hve to reference the populations yourself to see what is closer to your results.

I sent mine in anonymously, so no emails received. However, I've also been stuck for the exact same time as you. Even worse, my father's sample was sent in over three weeks ago and it hasn't yet been "received"!

I think they rushed it, it's usual now for phones or computers to be sold without efficient support or in "beta" but our dna is a bit more important than computer data I think

Everyone is anonymous. After you register online you should start receiving e-mails. As for them receiving the kits, they often get held up in the Houston post office, and they're dealing with thousands of returned kits now.

I do not receive emails because I never registered. (That's what I meant by anonymous). I check for results using the participant i.d. assigned to each kit.
