Batch 482

In my case, sample received Monday and batched today (Wednesday).

batched 9/19/2012
YDNA-12 expected 11/2/2012
YDNA-37 expected 11/16/2012

I'm not sure why we have a forum and posts for batch calendar info -- don't we all get our own notifications? But I thought I'd join in.

I now have samples for YDNA-37 testing for both my parents' families batched, in 481 and 482. The info for the one in batch 481 is:

YDNA-12 expected 10/26/2012
YDNA-37 expected 11/9/2012

So it looks like batching is being done weekly, and results are expected at the end of the 7th week for 12 and the end of the 9th week for 37.


Does the info above mean that although I have ordered a YDNA-37 test, I would expect to get YDNA-12 results earlier, followed by the YDNA-37 results?

And just curious: people say results are arriving earlier than predicted; any estimates for the YDNA-37? I don't want to appear over-eager or anything, after waiting 5 years to start.

These dates become useful when people also report when their result is ready.

That way we can see how long the wait actually is for the various products.

Also, when batch X is ready, one can start to expect batch number X + 1 (although more than one batch occationally comes out on the same date).

I have both a Family Finder and a basic mtDNA test for my son in this batch. Predicted date for both is 14th November.

Mine says my kit was received today, not batched yet, so probably will be in the next batch?

In both my cases, the kit was received on a Monday and batched on a Wednesday. But since I have the two consecutive batches being done on a Wednesday -- 481 and 482, last week and this week -- it looks like maybe that's batching day.

All the tests I've ever done have gone to batch on Wednesday.

Wednesday is always batching day, yes. I think it has something to do with when they ship samples to AZ for testing.

I have a FF in this batch with a due date of 11/14. Today I notice that the PF screen is set up and there is no longer a message that results are pending, although there are no PF results yet. With past FF's the PF came in a couple of days before the results, so I am hoping this is a sign of imminent completion.

I am in batch 483 waiting on a FF due 11/21 and I noticed today my PF also has the pending missing hmm

Which was 30 Sept? FTDNA, although they've still announced nothing, have released matches only on the last day of the month for the last two months. I wonder if we'll be waiting until 31 Oct?

Oh I hope not. I am so anxious for this batch. This one will crumble a 10+ year brick wall. Or not.
