    non-European ancestry?
    by massmanute
    Hi,

I have had DNA testing performed by two companies and ethnic ancestry estimates by several companies. Of course, the ethnic ancestry estimates are only very roughly comparable, and I think I have a pretty good general idea of why ethnic ancestry estimates differ from company to company....

Can you update your myOrigins again?
    by McNinja
For some ethnic groups, the previous version of myOrigins was actually better. And ancient Origins is actually as old as the old myOrigins (and now completely out of date with the latest knowledge in genetic anthropology).

In either case, the populations and descriptions are now lagging...

Not sure if this is the correct forum for this but has anyone ever heard of this site? I accessed it through family search. It was through their family history center portal. I logged in and while it showed my the usual grandparents, it was the great great great grandparents that got me. It showed me...

    The Future of Big Y?
    by solarius
I realise that FTDNA probably won't be doing anything revolutionary with regards to Big Y for the time being, given how it hasn't even been a year since the jump from Big Y 500 to Big Y 700 was made.

However after uploading my results to YFull, and realising that I've got over 50 one read...

For almost a month or more, no matter which browser I use to log in to Family Finder, a message pops up saying the page is unresponsive and I have the choices to wait for it to respond or exit. I've clicked wait but the problem still persists. Please help solve this issue for me. Thank you.

    I am considering buying Big Y-700 ... BUT ...
    by aketilander
In the information it says: "Raw data files are not included. The option to purchase your file will be available for an additional fee after your test is complete" This is a change form how it was before when you could access your raw data files for free. The raw data files are essential for...

    Genographic Project is shutting down
    by Serket
I ordered a Genographic Project DNA test on April 17. I don't know when my results were ready, but I finally looked at them on July 31. Either they never sent me an e-mail or it got lost in the sea of other unread e-mails. I couldn't find the "Our Stories" section for finding matches, but...
