It's looks this forum supports Russian?
- The Cyrillic here looks fine to me, and all of the English here looks fine to me, too.

- Suggestion to people who are best with languages other than English: Just follow the example these folks have set here. Write whatever you want in your native language, then follow it with your best possible English translation. That way, people who speak your language will be able to read what you post and find it with Google searches. And, even if all you can put is something like "father, kiev, r1a," English speakers will be able to use that stuff to figure out if they need to more about the part that's not in English.

Congratulations on that haplogroup!I had never heard it before and went and looked..only you and one other person In Eastern Europe have that.
Since I have RECENTLY been told by DNATRibes that I am more East.EU than Western(Perplexing to me) I am hoping when my Dad's haplogroup comes back from the extraction project that it is as significant as yours..his biological father may have been the Eastern European. Not sure..

anyway that is very cool.

Grigoriev:

O in general is the most common East Asian haplogroup, and O3 is the largest subgroup. It is especially frequent in China.

The following link has lots of references:
http://www.isogg.org/tree/ISOGG_HapgrpO07.html

Many of the links are probably not relevant - you should consider only those that relate to East Asia specifically. In particular, the most relevant paper for O3 seems to be:
Hong Shi, Yong-li Dong, Bo Wen, Chun-Jie Xiao, Peter A. Underhill, Pei-dong Shen, Ranajit Chakraborty, Li Jin, and Bing Su
Y-Chromosome Evidence of Southern Origin of the East Asian–Specific Haplogroup O3-M122

which is freely available online.

Note also that another company, Ethnoancestry.com, tests for some subgroups of O3:

This 2001 paper by Wells shows, in Table 1, haplogroups in various Eurasian populations. O3 is listed by its SNP, M122. M122 was found in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and among the Tuvinians and Mongolians. But note that in Uzbekistan, it was found among Crimean Tatars. (Did Stalin force them to move there?)

So O3 among Russians could be a sign of Mongolian Tatar ancestry.

36 DYS442=11
37 DYS438=11
___________
*Also known as DYS 394
**On 5/19/2003, these values were adjusted down by 1 point because of a change in Lab nomenclature.
***A value of “0” for any marker indicates that the lab reported a null value or no result for this marker. All cases of this nature are retested multiple times by the lab to confirm their accuracy. Mutations causing null values are infrequent, but are passed on to offspring just like other mutations, so related male lineages such as a father and son would likely share any null values.

Is there any interesting notes in my results?
