How to contact

In British Isles DNA Project I have an exact 37 marker match. Contacting that person is probably simple, but I don't see how to do it. ???

contacting matches

You're very fortunate to find such a close match.

All you have to do is log into your MyFTDNA page by entering your kit number and password in the appropriate boxes on the familytreedna.com homepage. Once your MyFTDNA page has appeared, scan down the left column to the subheading Y-DNA. Under this, click on Matches. The list that is generated it may contain many matches at 12 markers, a perhaps a couple at 25, and possibly many near matches. Toward the bottom, in the 37-marker section, your perfect match should appear, and if that person signed the release form with his kit, a contact email will be given. If not, then let me know the kit numbers and I'll play matchmaker.
