mtDNA test results & Ethnic/Geographic Origins

The reason I ordered the test was to prove/disprove Native American great-great grandmother.

Before I ordered my kit, I read this on the FTDNA web page:
"...mtDNA: tests the mtDNA of females and the female lineage of males (HVR1). ...
Ethnic and Geographic Origins: this test also allows you to identify your ethnic and geographic origins, both recent and far distant. Among other features, this test will also be able to indicate your Native-American Ancestry and which of the 5 major groups that settled in the Americans you are most likely to be descended from..."

I was notified of my test results, but don't know where/how to find the above info.

Any help will be appreciated.

Viafam,
Are you descended from that great great grandmother by a direct female line? If not this test will not help you. If you are, your haplogroup must be X,A,B,C or D for her to have been Native American. A great book that will help you with all this is "The Real Eve" by Stephen Oppenheimer.
