Most people want to migrate to America not due to dignity as you mention, but financial reasons. Specially people from developing countries find that the U.S. has a more than minimun infrastructure that alone makes a difference. I'll put this in an average migrant to the U.S. point of view. The average migrant comes from a developing country.
