Yes, at least one Mexican sharing an autosomal DNA segment with Josh W. and with my mom carries mtDNA T2e. His recent roots were in Texas, Nuevo Leon, Tamaulipas, and Coahila.

My dad also matches on a segment to a Mexican with T2e.

Life is complicated. The story of conversos in Nuevo Leon is also a story of exogamy as noted in the Ancestry cluster of the region. I double checked. The common match of Khazaria's family and myself has a sister who is Mtdna Cib, probably a Native American line.
