Strange emails from FTDNA

Today I received emails for three of the accounts I manage. Each email said "We found 1 new Close Family Finder match(es) for" followed by the tester's name. I checked each account - no new close matches. So why did I receive these emails?

I think their email notifications are running several days behind. I got notified about a new match today, but I think it referred to one I actually got 6 days ago. I have seen this behavior in the past too.

I got notification today of new results in - it was the notification for a Kit whose results came in last week.
Given my druthers, I prefer the results came in quickly rather than were being held up waiting for syncing with e-mail announcements.
Do not know why they sometimes get so out of sync.
