Read the reply closely. They're telling you that a haplogroup project administrator can give you the best answer. Would you rather that some FTDNA employee who isn't familiar with your haplogroup give you advice, which may not be correct?

If you're not yet a member of the appropriate haplogroup project yet, join it. You'll need the advice of the project administrator or a co-administrator to sort out this situation.

Also, a project administrator acting on behalf of a project member can many times get a quicker resolution to a testing problem. I just helped resolve a sample mix-up that switched the results for two men, one of whom was a member of R1b-U106 Project, of which I'm a co-administrator. They both were retested and now have their correct results.

Mmaddi, did you see this bit?
"I already had a SNP pack tested that includes CTS7045 so it was supposed to be tested. Although it wasn't tested."
The project coordinator instructed me to get an G SNP pack. It was done. However the final SNP CTS7045 included in the pack was not tested. CTS7045 is a sub-clade from CTS5990 that I was placed in.

Have you discussed this lack of a result for CTS7045 with the project administrator? If not, you should. Maybe he has an explanation for you. If he doesn't, he can contact someone at FTDNA to get the problem resolved, as I suggested in my previous post.

Also, read Armando's post in this thread at http://forums.familytreedna.com/show...19&postcount=6. He asked you to see what color CTS7045 is in the haplotree for your account, but you never answered that.

You can also look at the bottom of the haplotree page for CTS7045. Does it say CTS7045+, CTS7045- or CTS7045*? If it has CTS7045*, that means they tried to test it, but didn't get a good call.

CTS7045 is in blue with no add option.
There is no CTS7045 on the bottom of my tree.

Something is definitely wrong. Are you sure that you ordered the G-M201 SNP pack? Or did you order CTS5990 as a single SNP?

The reason I'm asking if you actually ordered the SNP pack and not a single SNP is that what you're describing above is what you would see if you haven't ordered the G-M201 SNP pack and FTDNA is suggesting that you order it.

Can you copy and paste all the SNP calls that you have at the bottom of your Haplotree page in a post here? Then we can see what results you have and whether they are from the SNP pack or not.

Another possibility is that you have results from the first version of the G-M201 pack. I checked the 10 members of the Sicily Project who have results for the G-M201 pack. Only three of them have a result for CTS7045. The other seven without CTS7045 results have their results from last year. So, it looks like CTS7045 was added to the SNP pack sometime this year. The earliest order date for the three who do have a CTS7045 result is May 17 of this year.

When did you order the SNP pack? If it was significantly before mid-May, you probably have results from the first version of the G-M201 SNP pack which didn't include CTS7045.

This is a good lesson showing why Big Y is far superior to any SNP pack. Big Y will find any SNPs, including previously unknown SNPs, without having to worry about how current the SNP pack is that you ordered.

You ordered the SNP pack on April 4, probably just before FTDNA introduced the second version of the SNP pack. I think that's why you don't have a result for CTS7045.

At least now you know the likely reason and can ask FTDNA to give you a free test for CTS7045, although it's not on their single SNP menu. I don't know what their policy is when someone orders an old version of a SNP pack just before a new version is introduced. They may or may not honor your request.

It probably would be a good idea to discuss this with your haplogroup project administrator. Maybe they can help you get CTS7045 tested, since it's in the new version of the SNP pack.
