Thomas Glover of colonial northern VA

I find two Thomases, father and son, married/baptized in what is now King George County at St. Paul's, although I believe when the church was started, it may have been in Stafford or Spotsylvania. That would be in the middle of the 18th c. Later, in the late 1780's, I find a Thomas as a hatmaker (of fur?) in Alexandria (Fairfax County), and I find my Glovers for sure in 1789 in Fairfax County, and it looks as if a Thomas was included in that group. I have everyone since then, but cannot absolutely confirm that this Thomas is mine. How can I do that? My guess is that my Glovers were from south-western Scotland originally. Best, Denis jd-glover@ comcast.net
