Y test

Is is possible to upload dna from an autosomal test done by Ancestry to obtain a y dna test?

Not from the Raw Data transferred, but if you click on the upgrade button, one can order a yDNA test.

FTDNA will send out a new DNA collection kit. Only once new sample submitted can FTDNA run any additional tests
FTDNA keeps sample, any additional testing in the future you choose to order uses that sample until it is depleted or to degraded to use

There are roundabout ways on your own (through 3rd party tools) to get some haplogroup info from an male AncestryDNA result as they do check SNPs on the Y-Chromosome. But no you cannot transfer your AncestryDNA test here to get Y-DNA results. If you transfer your AncestryDNA results here it will just be entered into FTDNA's autosomal database 'Family Finder' and no Y-DNA info is given.
