Hey Everyone! I am completely new to this, and I decided to upload my Ancestry DNA results to FTDNA. I got the following percentages:
MyOrigins:
84% Africa
81% West Africa
3% South Central Africa
16% Europe
16% British Isles
Ancient Origins:
4% Metal Age Invader
11% Farmer
7% Hunter Gatherer
78% Non-European
I am slightly confused about the continental discrepancy between my Origin’s results and Ancient origins. Can anyone explain how it would be possible for me to get more/or less African and European results between the MyOrigins and Ancient Origins Tests, shouldn’t the percentages corroborate one another? For reference I am including my Ancestry, DNA Land, and some GED Match results below. Thanks!
