Any explanation as to why the delays? Any estimate as to when the remainder may be completed?

I know that is not the answer you are expecting, but based on previous experience, the delays - even the significant ones - tend to be explained (if ever) only afterwards. Mr. W |

I'm guessing the main update process has completed, and there is now a residual group of kits that ran into issues and that have to be reviewed individually. That's not necessarily a bad thing. They might turn out to be the most interesting kits.

All but two missing kits in my project (we are at 90% done)
have batch numbers before 590. I looked to see if any of them have among the absolute smallest BAM files .... but only one has sent me a BAM and that one is small, but not exceedingly so. However, it now appears that with the new improved, bigger, VCF files, I will need many fewer BAMs. I will solicit them from key people just to check, but not generally, especially not in R1b. In R1a-CTS4179 I will still do it for some. I have completed my conversion of all my programs and datafiles to 38. I converted all my old VCF files to 38 using a simple liftover. This worked perfectly ... I checked and not a single SNP I had already used failed to convert. The non-SNPs CLD56, CLD57, and CLD82 converted nicely. Now, unlike before, with the expanded VCF files, I can call them without the BAM. All this is very good news. I now more anxiously await the new de novo processed build 38 files more than conversions. |

4 NEW, de novo, BigYs appeared today. One was an interesting
R1a-CTS4179-CLD12 one, the others blah R1bs. The recalculates are still stuck at 90% ... nothing for almost three weeks. |

This page shows Shared Variants in third column. The references are clickable and if clicked any of them brings up a pop-up page headed by "Shared Variants with ....." but no data appears Why is this ? |

They appear to be outright rejecting BAM file requests. I assumed that if I requested them now they would store them up
for when they started work on them. That's not how I read their reply. Up to 98% done on the 38 redos. They are appearing. |

So is it looking like eventually the August backlog will give way and the orders after the August sale will begin to be processed?

In the Walden project we are still missing 2 reprocessed older Big-Y results. And one of them is mine.
Maybe by next year? |

ordered after August have arrived. However, I can say that of 30 pending on Oct 10th when the redo started, 17 have arrived. Interestingly the last R1a redo I'm awaiting is the largest BigY BAM I've ever seen, almost 3 gigabytes. Maybe their computer didn't like gigantic files. Its the only one over 2^31 bytes long. My own modest (6x) coverage full (autosomal+X+Y) BAM is over 32 gigabytes (Not Full Genomes). |
