Multiple matches on small segment

John and Bob overlap with me, 8.69 cMs and 10 cms. On this small segment, John and I share an ancestral couple CA on my patra side, and Bob and I share 3 different ancestral couples on my matra side. Am I reading this correctly? Is this a lot of activity on such a small segment?

There is nothing unusual here. A 10 cM segment is not that small. However, the smaller the matching segment, the more distant the predicted relationship. And the more distant the predicted relationship, the more relatives. So it is not unexpected that you will get more relatives on smaller segments. The only thing that is noteworthy here is your matching segment is that it belongs to an ancestral line in which several members tested.
