    Can you tell us what haplogroups (and, if possible, major subclades) these SNPs fall under?

      Yes, I think this would be helpful to know instead of playing darts
      in the dark.

        Hi,

        I confess that I haven't a clue. I am going to guess that they are not R-U106 SNPs though and are maybe not R-L21. That is only because you don't know, and Stevo has not volunteered the answer.

        Some admin filled out the New SNP Request form. Maybe they are I SNPs?

          The following are found on the ISOGG YBrowse

          F1400 = Approx. D M15 d
          PF6899 = Approx. hg: I
          Y877 = Approx. hg: R-Z2123

          The rest are either not found or don't have an approximate haplogroup.

                I immediately recognized one of the SNPs - CTS2509. That's a SNP that's equivalent to Z319, downstream from Z326. It's under U106/L48. Some people know it as the big "null 425 cluster" that's a subclade of R1b-L48.

                Thanks for adding that one. I'm sure FTDNA can get 10-20, maybe more, orders for it. R1b-Z319/CTS2509 is a fairly large subclade (200+ surnames) that includes me and Spencer Wells, too.

                  DF104, DF105 and FGC4078 are important SNPs under M222 (Northwest Irish).
                  S691 looks likes a large subclade of L1065 (Scotts Modal).
                  S190 looks like a subclade under DF21 and corresponds possibly to the Little Scottish Cluster.

                  Here is a draft tree for L21, one of the three large subclades of R1b-P312.

                  Rebekah, FGC5496 looks like a large and old subclade under DF13. Are there prospects for it being offered in the catalog?

                    Hi,

                    Have you requested FGC5496 through the SNP request form on the GAP Y-DNA SNP results page yet?

                      SNPs for Haplogroup I-M223 (I2a2a, old I2b1)

                      Haplogroup I-M223 or I2a2a (old I2b1).

                      PF6899 is found derived in those I-M223 (Continental 3b) men that are L703+ and downstream Continental 3c groups of L704+, L700+, L1226+.

                      Z180 is found some I-M223 men that are L1198+ (Continental 1) and is upstream of Z166.

                      Also Z524 was added recently. This was found derived in the Geno 2.0 results of an I-M223 man that is L1228+.

                        FGC4078 was found in my Y chromosome and so far appears to represent all those who are reported S7073* on the Jim Wilson M222 tree - possibly about 15% or so of the whole haplogroup.

                        So far I am the only FGC4078+ person with NGS data to go public but we are expecting two more soon, one from each of the NGS testing cos.
