Question Should I?

I have done both FF and Y-DNA 111 Tests but am finding it difficult to determine whether Matches in FF are Maternal or Paternal. Would an additional mtDNA Test help to differentiate? Y-DNA matches do not necessarily appear in FF results.

I don't think I would. I think mtDNA matches would be even less likely to show up in your Family Finder results. The reason is that the common ancestress you share with an mtDNA match may have lived thousands or tens of thousands of years ago. mtDNA mutates very slowly so there is very little chance of sharing autosomal DNA with an mtDNA match.

mtDNA is best used for solving very specific kinds of problems.

To filter your maternal and paternal Family Finder matches, you should read up on the Family Finder Family Matching System, and the Family Matching Tool. You will need to upload a .ged file (GEDCOM) or create a tree in your account, and have either or both fairly close maternal and paternal relatives (up to known 3rd cousins) do the Family Finder test. The links explain how it works.
