New haplogroup predictions ?

Haplogroup predictions are currently being updated using new data. Your haplogroup prediction may change upon completion.

I have noticed the above message on one of my family kits where no SNPs were tested. But not on the other ones.

Is that the haplogroup dependent? My uncle with the message is the only one from G.

They make the predictions off the STR marker values. In past they did deeper predictions based on marker value of members that also did deeper ydna snp testing. Then there was some issue with some of the predictions and some people reverted back to their original very basic prediction.

Maybe there is enough testers in database that have done snp testing which allows ftdna to be more confident in predicting deeper haplogroup subclades.
