Transfer ??

Not sure if this is the correct place, but I will start.

Last fall I tested with Ancestry, and did the transfer. My Ancestry test was recent, and had to run it through a conversion program to upload. that should have been a clue.

I have been reading that Ancestry transfer done with newer chip will get fewer matches, than if I had tested at FTDNA

Subsequent to the transfer, I did a Y-111 at FTDNA>

At this point, I want to discard the at transfer and order a new FF

I want to end up with Y and FF on same kit

any advice

Your best bet is to contact Customer Support, using the link at the top right. You can either phone them during the hours shown on that page, or submit the support request form.

If you submit the form, make sure your browser displays the "reCaptcha" portion, or else you won't be able to submit your support request. If it doesn't show, try another browser. For the support category in the drop menu, "Transfer or raw data questions" might be the closest category for your situation.

I think you can order the test through your existing transfer account. If you paid the 19 dollar unlock fee, I believe the policy is to discount that from the purchase price of familyfinder. Start the order (not obligated to buy until you give your credit card) and if you see the discounted price on the last screen, you know you are on the right track.

If on the other hand, you already started a 2nd kit number account when you did your Y test, you must contact customer support to merge them.
