Maybe they assume that someone who's going to pay for an expensive test will undertake some due diligence and research the tests before ordering them?

Backbone Y-DNA

I got my backbone Y-dna results today! I am placed in Q-M3, and with Y-DNA37 I have no matches at all. Rather surprised with the haplogroup & no matches, but in a good way. It took about 30 days or so to get results for the backbone test in case anybody else is waiting on one.

My Y-64 test (batch 847) has been pushed back once again. Now projecting Jun 25 to Jul 6 but I have lost any confidence that they'll be able to deliver on the new date.

Very slow backbone SNP test

Hi, I've been waiting for the SNP Backbone test for 1 month to set my hplogroup for the Y12. I sent an email to FTDNA. The answer was that my result should be ready within the next 5 weeks. This is absurd. I'm almost in the fifth week of waiting and still have to wait another 5 weeks? I saw people who received the Backbone test result to set the haplogroup in a month. How many months will FTDNA insure my SNP Backbone result for the Y12?

How long to process YDNA after mailing?

What Y-DNA batch numbers have been recently completed? Which batches are 'in progress' with associated start dates? It would be nice to see some kind of progress log. I have mine in batch 721 that wasn't yet completed.

How does this take? Will I get a confirmation that my test was received? I sent in my sample three of fours days ago. Will I be notified of its status? Via email or on My FTDNA page?
