Walter Clayton Stockton #B57356 (R1b1a2 M-269) has a Y-111 match (GD9) to a Glynn Dwight St. Andre (R-M269). Glynn's father Rev Gilbert Harrison St. Andre b 1905 in Caddo, Louisiana was adopted into the St. Andre family according to notes in a public tree at Ancestry. Gilbert's biological father was Willie O Gibson b 1870. Willie's father was William David Gibson b 1845 in Alabama, William's father Stephen Gibson b 1802 S Carolina or Cheshire, England. Stephen's father JAMES GIBSON B 1803 LOSTOCK GRALAM, near Northwich, Cheshire England was a shipbuilder in 1841 and lived with his family at Witton Dock, Witton cum Twambrooks, near Northwich, Cheshire.
We do know that Walter Clayton Stockton's ggggrandfather was James Stockton born abt 1760 from the area of Cheshire.
